MONARCHS IN THE ROUGH PROGRAM

Located between hole #7 and #8 is our Monarch Butterfly Waystation. This area was established to help aid the Monarch butterfly with it’s annual migratory journey, providing wildflower nectar, water and temporary shelter.

BLUEBIRD NESTING TRAIL

Routed primarily through the golf course, blue bird boxes have been established to support and encourage a healthy environment for the Eastern Bluebird to thrive on site. These boxes are monitored and maintained by community volunteers.

NATURALIZED NATIVE GRASS AREAS

Throughout the golf course and within the community are native grass areas. Not only do these areas provide a habitat for small creatures and ground nesting birds, they also help reduce maintenance inputs (i.e. fertilizer, water and pesticides).

BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES

Our golf course maintenance team uses an agronomic plan based on protecting the environment by incorporating the use of IPM or Integrated Pest Management. This ensures we are using the least amount of inputs to achieve outstanding playing conditions while protecting native wildlife and all nearby water sources, including ground water.
